Tulsa Fitness Systems is owned and operated by Clint & Kara Howard. Our mission is to improve overall health & fitness, enhance quality of life, and empower people to be the best they can be. Our goal is to transform the way people think about health, fitness, and success in life. This is achieved through professional coaching and design of exercise and conditioning coupled with proper nutrition in a fun, challenging and educational environment; conducive to success for each client. Clint Howard, Tulsa Fitness Systems Founder / Director

Clint Howard Tulsa fitness trainerClint Howard, MS, CPT has been sharing his passion for fitness since 1998 as a fitness and fat loss expert, certified personal trainer, physical therapy assistant, and University of Oklahoma Exercise Science instructor and strength & conditioning coach. Clint’s dedication and commitment to the fitness industry has gotten him recognized as one of the most successful personal trainers in the country.

“My clients deserve nothing less than all the best I have to offer.  When they are receptive to my coaching as we work toward their goals, they hit milestone after milestone, and that makes for a great day at work in my book,” says Howard.

Clint holds a bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, both from the University of Oklahoma. He holds certifications through the highly regarded National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), & National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA).

Clint is also a level I,II, III certified Golf Fitness Trainer through the prestigious Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He currently trains PGA golfer, Bo Van Pelt, the Oklahoma State University Golf Team, the Jenks High School & Junior High Golf Team, as well as many other collegiate, amateur, and recreational golfers.

Clint serves on the fitness department advisory board for Tulsa Community Care College and was one of the founding members of the APPT (Association of Professional Personal Trainers). Clint is a featured writer for the Fitness Expert Network as well as several local and national publications.

Recognized for his no-nonsense approach to fitness and fat loss, Clint has become established as the go-to fitness expert in the Tulsa area. Clint appears regularly on the local FOX 23 News as their featured expert on health and fitness.

Clint regularly attends local and national conferences, clinics, seminars, and workshops about health, fitness, and nutrition to stay on top of the latest research and continue his education. Clint co-authored his first health & fitness book in 2007 and his second book, The Fit Formula, became a national best seller in 2011.

When not busy helping others improve their health & fitness, he enjoys working out regularly himself, hunting & fishing, reading, and spending time with his wife Kara and daughters, Kinley and Campbell.


Kara Howard, Co-Owner

Kara Howard, Tulsa Fitness SystemsKara Howard, PharmD, CPT has also had a lifelong passion for fitness and nutrition. Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Pharmacy, both from the University of Oklahoma. Kara is certified thru the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has been a certified personal trainer since 2006. She has also been a certified nutrition coach since 2011. Kara firmly believes a combination of fitness and nutrition is the key to a healthy medication-free lifestyle. Kara truly enjoys helping others learn ways to develop and maintain an active nourishing lifestyle.

Kara is a member of the Junior League of Tulsa, Tulsa Executives Association and the Wind River Events Committee. Her leadership skills, along with her in-depth knowledge of clinical nutrition and disease prevention provide a major asset to clients of Tulsa Fitness Systems.

Kara enjoys working out herself, spending time with friends and family, reading, and just hanging out at home with Clint and daughters, Kinley and Campbell and dog, Tinkerbell.
