CLINT HOWARDOwner, Director of Fitness
Clint has been sharing his passion for fitness for almost 20 years. Clint holds a bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, both from the University of Oklahoma. He holds certifications through National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), & National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). Clint is also a level I,II, III certified Golf Fitness Trainer through the prestigious Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). He currently trains PGA golfer, Bo Van Pelt, the Oklahoma State University Golf Team, the Jenks High School & Junior High Golf Team, as well as many other collegiate, amateur, and recreational golfers.

Clint serves on the fitness advisory board for Community Care College and was one of the founding members of the APPT (Association of Professional Personal Trainers). Clint is a featured writer for the Fitness Expert Network as well as several local and national publications. Clint has become established as the go-to fitness expert in the Tulsa area. Clint appears regularly on the local FOX 23 News as their featured expert on health and fitness.Clint regularly attends local and national conferences, clinics, seminars, and workshops about health, fitness, and nutrition to stay on top of the latest research and continue his education.

When not busy helping others improve their health & fitness, he enjoys working out regularly himself, hunting & fishing, reading, and spending time with his wife Kara and daughters, Kinley and Campbell.

Jacob was born and raised in Tulsa and graduated from Union High School in 2010. In 2015, he earned his B.S. in Health and Human Performance (Exercise Sports Science), and a minor in Psychology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah,OK. Jacob interned at TFS in 2015 and was then hired on as a fitness coach/trainer.

In 2017, he received his fitness certification in CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach). He chose the fitness field because he loved playing sports growing up and developed a love of fitness. His favorite sports are football, basketball, and baseball and UFC. He still loves to play sports when he can, watch them and talk about them?

Jacob also loves travelling the US and abroad. He is always planning and looking forward to his next trip. He really enjoys talking and getting to know our TFS clients and he wants to help get the most out of their workouts here at TFS and attain their fitness goals.

KARA HOWARDOwner, Director of Health & Wellness
Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), both from the University of Oklahoma. Kara is a certified personal trainer thru the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has also been a certified nutrition coach thru Precision Nutrition. Kara firmly believes a combination of fitness and nutrition is the key to a healthy medication-free lifestyle. Kara truly enjoys helping others learn ways to develop and maintain an active nourishing lifestyle.

Her lifelong passion for fitness and nutrition and knowledge of clinical nutrition and disease prevention provide a major asset to clients of Tulsa Fitness Systems.

Kara enjoys working out herself, spending time with friends and family, traveling, reading, and just hanging out at home with Clint and daughters, Kinley and Campbell.

Travis was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida and then moved to Tulsa, OK in the 7th grade. He went to school at Metro Christian Academy from the 7th grade until graduating in 2012. At Metro, he was on the football, track & field and cross-country teams. He won state in track & field and cross-country. Being competitive in these sports sparked his lifelong passion for health and fitness.

After graduating from high school, he went on to Oklahoma State University. He was active in the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji). In May 2016, He graduated with a B.S. in Health & Human Performance (Exercise Science). He interned at TFS and he has been a trainer here ever since. Travis truly cares about his clients and wants to help them live a healthy and fit lifestyle for the rest of their lives!

Travis’ goal is to make the fitness lifestyle as much fun for everyone else, as it is for him. Like Clint says, “Fitness is a journey, not a destination.” If fitness is a journey, why not make that journey as fun and enjoyable as possible?
