5 top fat loss tips

Most everyone wants to lose atleast some weight/bodyfat.
When it comes to fat loss you don’t have to be perfect and it can be somewhat simple.
But simplicity isn’t always easy to do though with the best Tulsa Personal Trainer.
I’ve helped hundreds of people with their weight loss and transformation goals and I want to share with you 5 tips and strategies we use in our programs to get amazing results with our clients.
Tip 1. Ditch Steady State Cardio & Do Metabolic Resistance Training, Interval Training, Sprints, Finishers
Slower paced steady state cardio can be a good way to clear your mind and get some heart health benefits… but for fat loss… it’s like trying to start a fire by rubbing 2 sticks together!! It ain’t very good!
Workouts consisting of alternating shorter periods of higher intense exercise with short periods of rest, for a given time interval leads to greater fat loss. Hundreds of clinical studies now prove this is a fact. So don’t waste your time on activates that provide the least return. You also need to add in some heavier strength training sessions to your program as well.
Tip 2. Don’t Drink Your Calories and No Sugary Drinks
Soda, flavored coffees, and fruit-flavored drinks can add up quick. Juice drinks may sound healthy but aren’t! Unlike a piece of real fruit, fruit juice is very concentrated in sugar which makes it high in calories and not healthy. Sugar is sugar, don’t drink it.
Tip 3. Remember my infamous quote “You Can’t Out-Train a Bad Diet”
Nutrition is the biggest determining factor in weight loss. You can workout all day but if you don’t provide your body with the right amount of fuel it needs, your performance, health and appearance will all suffer. If you’re looking to lose weight, get healthy, and perform to your full potential, give your body the right nutrients it needs and the right amount.
Tip 4. Have Protein With Every Meal that your Tulsa Personal Trainer approves of
Getting enough protein helps preserve lean muscle and encourages fat burning while keeping you feeling more full. It doesn’t affect blood sugar like carbohydrates and helps increase your metabolism.
Tip 5. Get an Accountability Partner/Coach and Get Started Now
Accountability partners or fitness coaches are people who can help you stay on track toward reaching your goals, motivate you, and make sure you’re doing the right things to get the results you’re looking for.

And information is useless without action. The best way to get results is to just get started!
If you’re looking for a program to start and you’d rather not worry about figuring it all out on your own then I’ve got a great deal for you. We’ve just opened the doors to our popular TFS 4-Week Fat Loss Challenge.

We take all of the guess work out of nutrition and the workouts with done-for-you meal plans, unlimited training and workout sessions, and ongoing support, encouragement, motivation, and professional training and coaching all bundled into a 4-week Challenge that guarantees you get great results!

Staying motivated to workout & focused on your goals

Hope your week is going well so far with your Tulsa Personal Trainer!
I was talking to a new client this morning about goals, making this health & fitness thing a lifestyle, motivation, mindset…. the sort of things I love talking about!
I personally love working out and love fitness (duh!) and I practice what I preach. But I do realize health & fitness isn’t everyone else’s profession and you may not truly love it and live it as much as I do.
So I wanted to email you real quick, a few ways to stay motivated to working out and being healthy…
Remember how great you feel after a good workout. It’s like an endorphin high!
Always remember how important it is to make time for “you”. YOUR worth it!
Count your calories burned. If you count calories you know the more you workout, the more calories you burn-and the bigger your calorie deficit and fat loss. Our MyZone System and HR straps are awesome for tracking this and give you so much info and self-motivation!
How you’re going to look. Imagine a slimmer, leaner, fitter you. Now let that visualization drive you and keep you focused and on track!
Rewards. If you hit a personal fitness goal, give yourself a reward! (Not food though!)
Stress relief. We all have stress. If you don’t deal with it, it will wreck your health. Working out is a great stress outlet!
Working out with like-minded people is always more fun and motivating.
Living longer! I know I want to be around a long time and see my kids (and one day, grand kids) grow up! Most deaths are lifestyle related- choose to be healthy and fit!
Getting compliments from others. We know we all love when someone notices changes in our body and compliments us- it feels good. We gotta earn it first though to get the compliments!
Upcoming summer vacations, lake trips, reunions, weddings, etc… We want to be looking our best this summertime. Nuff said!

And always remember “80 percent of success is just showing up.” Keep showing up and doing the work and good things will happen!

Let’s have a great rest of the week and stay focused on our goals!

GOAT, create impact, motivational quotes from the best Tulsa Personal Trainer.

I just now saw on the television here at TFS HQ- they’re showing the funeral and memorial service of Muhammad Ali.

The world lost a legend. Muhammad Ali was the greatest of all-time (G.O.A.T.) not just because he was 3-time heavyweight champion of the world, but also because he changed humanity. He was a leader in a time of uncertainty in the U.S.

Ali had great charisma and quick-tongued wittiness. Some may believe he was cocky, I prefer to think it was his positive self-talk and confidence that he believed in himself and his abilities, and that’s what truly helped make him so great.

You may know that I love motivational and mindset quotes … and Ali had some great ones! Here are a few of my favorites of his-

“Don’t count the days, make the days count.”

“I hated every minute of training, but I said, Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.”

“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”

“I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was.”

“He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”
“If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you.”

“To be a great champion, you must believe you are the best. And if you’re not, pretend you are.”

“I don’t count my sit ups. I only start counting when it starts hurting because they are the only ones that count.”

“Champions are made from something they have deep inside them- a desire, a dream, a vision. They have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill with a Tulsa Personal Trainer.”

“Live every day like it’s your last because someday you’re going to be right.”

How about you? Which Ali quote most resonates with you?

Ali was the greatest boxer, he influenced politics, he positively touched humanity. He truly had IMPACT!

What impact can you create in this life… for yourself, for those around you?

Life is short… take care of yourself to make it better for you, your family, those around you. Create impact and live a life of meaning and purpose.
Much love,
